Faith is the name given to a habit of the mind whereby some things which we cannot prove are accepted as true. Faith is not exactly the same as belief or trust. Faith has two parts — reason and feeling. Faith involves the faculty or sense by which we believe something that we cannot see and touch. In other words, faith is a subjective element of belief, which means that it refers to what one believes rather than how another person feels about it.
Faith is not a blind, irrational belief.
Faith is not the same thing as blind belief or superstition. Faith is based on evidence and reason, and can be proven through scientific methods.
Reason and faith are interdependent. Reason and faith are distinct faculties, but they are not mutually exclusive. One can use both reason and faith at the same time; it just depends on what one has chosen to believe. If we have faith in something that has no basis in reason, then we must be willing to surrender that belief when our reasoning leads us elsewhere. If we have good reasons for believing something that seems impossible or unreasonable, then we need not abandon our beliefs simply because some people disagree with them; instead, we should allow for reasonable disagreement and accept that others may have good reasons for thinking differently than us.
Faith is the basis of all knowledge.
Without faith, we cannot understand anything. We need to have faith in something to believe that we can actually do it. Faith is the foundation for everything else in life.
Faith is what gives us the courage to look for answers when we don’t already know what the questions are, who we should ask them too, and how to answer them. Faith is what helps us believe in ourselves and our abilities even when they seem far-fetched or impossible.
The starting point for faith is the existence of God.
This has been demonstrated by many people, including philosophers and scientists. I will not discuss this issue here, but I would like to list some reasons why I believe in God.
The first reason is that life on Earth cannot be explained without God’s existence. We have discovered many things such as genes and DNA, atomic bombs and computers, electricity, radio waves and so on, but we still do not know how they work. However, we know that they were made by God because He created them. For example, DNA can store information which can make a cell reproduce itself again after its death. So it must have been made by God because we cannot find it by ourselves. Scientists also found that there are more than 100 billion stars in our galaxy which makes us think that all these stars were made by one being who has no beginning or end.
The second reason is that you need a human soul to have emotions such as love and hate; otherwise you will lose your freedom of choice when you die eventually when your body dies too. If we do not have souls, then what is left for us after we die? We will just be an animal like ants or worms whose lives are controlled by instinct only
The divine soul teaches itself about the divine spirit in which it exists. The soul is always seeking to know its true source.

It asks questions and seeks answers. When it seeks answers, it must find a way to get them in such a way that they become part of its own consciousness, so that they can be used by the soul as a means of understanding itself.
The value of faith is that it helps us to see what we cannot see because we are too close to our own limited vision. Faith allows us to see things from a distance and with a little perspective. Faith allows us to look at things from another point of view, which may be more appropriate for understanding them than our own.
Knowing God, the Ultimate Reality, is a necessity of a fulfilled life.
Faith is the belief that God exists and his will can be discerned in the world. Faith also implies trust that God will help us when we need him. Faith is something people have to decide for themselves. It is not something you are born with. Faith is something that develops in you as you grow older, but it can be lost if you don’t practice it.
Faith isn’t just a feeling of confidence; it involves believing certain facts about God and trusting him to answer your prayers. It’s believing that God has a plan for your life and that he knows what’s best for you even when it seems impossible for you to understand how he knows or why he does what he does.
The reason and value of faith stands in the ultimate need of human despite that it can be challenged by so many hardships, facts, and even ridicule by some. Faith is useful because it was placed there by a higher power. Faith gives hope and support to every man, woman and child. It also allows for the strength to get up and try again when you fail.
Faith can be a great tool for learning more about the world around us.
