Freedom can mean many different things, but one of the most important has been defined by the American Declaration of Independence as “the power to make one’s own decisions.” In this sense, I believe that all of us have the right to choose whether or not we should be enslaved by a system or someone else. Although living in poverty may seem to be the answer to the question of “freedom,” it is in fact a highly controlled society that requires great amounts of spiritual and mental fortitude to find freedom and happiness when you are deprived from any given aspect of your life.
Freedom is in your mind.
Freedom is an inner feeling. It’s a state of mind, not just a physical condition. Once you start thinking that you’re free, then that’s what freedom becomes for you. It becomes part of your life, and nothing can ever take that away from us again.
Reject societal norms.
The first step is to reject societal norms. This is a difficult thing to do, as we are all born into a society with its own set of social and cultural norms. But there is no better way to demonstrate your freedom than by standing up for your own individuality and rejecting those which are not for your benefit.
The second step is to stand up for what you believe in. Freedom does not mean doing whatever you want; it means having the right to choose what you want. If you believe that something is right or wrong, then it should be your choice whether or not to do it.
The third step is to live your life according to your beliefs, rather than just saying them over and over again until they become true. You need to leave no room for doubt or uncertainty in yourself or others around you; if someone asks you a question, give an honest answer without hesitation or qualification; if someone gives you an order, refuse it immediately; if someone criticizes or insults you, ignore them and continue with your life as though nothing had happened.
Learn to say ‘no’.
When we’re deprived, we often don’t know what to say no to. If your boss asks for something that will cost more money than it’s worth and won’t give any results, don’t feel bad about saying ‘no’. If someone asks if you’re on board with their plan and it sounds like they’re just trying to get something out of you (and if they are), don’t feel bad about saying ‘no’. Saying ‘yes’ when people ask for things isn’t always a good idea. They’ll probably try and take advantage of you later on down the line; it’s not worth the risk.
Take a moment to choose something different every single day.
The more things you can do that are different, the more your mind will be stimulated and you’ll feel more free.
You don’t have to go far, just take a walk in your neighborhood or city, or even at home. It doesn’t matter where you go or what you do — just make sure you’re doing something different every day!
Learn to choose your own battles in life.
Every day, we are faced with the challenge of choosing our own battles in life. We can choose to walk away from a conflict and avoid the drama, or we can choose to enter it and fight for what matters to us.
In a society that is growing increasingly deprived of freedom and resources, this can be a difficult choice to make. But by learning how to demonstrate freedom in a deprived society, you can show others that they are not alone and that they have the power to change their circumstances, too.
Freedom is more than just having more money or material possessions; it’s being able to do what you want without fear of being punished for it or losing your job or reputation by others if you choose not to do what others want from you.
Stand out of the crowd.
The people in a deprived society have been oppressed for a long time. They have been suppressed by the ruling party and its henchmen.
They are living under the tyranny of the government. The government has no respect for human rights and freedom.
The people who live in this society have lost their freedom, but they still hope that one day they can regain it. They want to stand out of the crowd and be free from the shackles of oppression.
Dare to be independent.
Freedom is personal. It is not an abstract concept or a state of being. It is a choice and a feeling that you have the power to change your environment and your situation.
Freedom is the ability to take control of your life, your thoughts, and your emotions.
It’s about being able to choose what you want for yourself, rather than having it dictated by others.
Freedom means having the freedom to be who you want to be.
Don’t spend your life trying to please others, but yourself.
In a society where we are all expected to be perfect, it is easy to get discouraged. We are constantly told that everyone is looking at us, judging us, and criticizing us.
When we are young, we hear that our parents and teachers are always telling us what to do, how to act, and how good we should feel about ourselves. This can make us very nervous because we don’t want anyone to think badly of us.
It can seem like there is no way out of this situation. But there is a solution: Don’t spend your life trying to please others, but yourself.
We often feel the need to conform to social norms, but we must realize that those do not define us and that we are all unique individuals who have the freedom to make our own choices and stand up for what we really believe in
